Polyamory and ENM in Toronto

Updated November 1, 2026

Toronto has one of Canada’s largest polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous communities, with volunteer-run groups, workshops and socials across the city. Here’s how to find it, and how to walk in the first time.

Community groups

Most of Toronto’s poly and open groups meet through Meetup: search for “polyamory” or “non-monogamy” in Toronto. Expect discussion nights, Polyamory 101 Q&As, socials, brunches and walks, mostly run by volunteers. Event places often show only once you join a group.

Learn

Sex-positive shops and educators in the city run workshops on non-monogamy, jealousy and communication, often monthly. Good first reads: The Ethical Slut, More Than Two and Polysecure.

Looking for a therapist? Choose one who says they support non-monogamy rather than treat it as a problem, and ask about it on the first call.

Your first meetup

  • You can just come and listen: nobody has to share their story.
  • Use whatever name you’re comfortable with.
  • These are social and learning events, not hookups: come curious and respectful.
  • What’s said there stays there. Never out anyone.

Meeting people in Toronto

Orby opens in Toronto first: a dating and social app for non-monogamous people, single, coupled or in a polycule. Every member is ID-verified, couples show as one card with each person’s private yes, and chats are end-to-end encrypted. Polyamory, open relationships or ENM? The differences.
