Why Orby uses no tracking cookies
Most websites follow you around: cookies and trackers from ad networks record what you read, then follow you to other sites. For people exploring non-monogamy, that trail can say more than you’d like, to advertisers, to anyone sharing your device, or to whoever those companies sell to. So joinorby.com has none.
What we don’t use. No advertising or social media trackers, no Google Analytics, no “like” buttons that report back, no fingerprinting of your device, and no cookies of our own. Nobody else’s code runs on our pages.
Keeping the site safe. Cloudflare protects joinorby.com from attacks and bots. If it needs to check you’re a person, it may set a short-lived security cookie for that check only. It isn’t used to track you.
A few notes kept in your browser. To make the site work better, your browser keeps a few small notes. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:
- whether you’ve already seen the offer to read the site in Spanish (or English), so we don’t ask twice;
- which cities you’ve already seen on the map, so new ones show “New”;
- if you came through an invite link, its code, only until you close the tab, so it reaches the form;
- on the testers’ page, the tasks you ticked.
You can delete them any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser; the site still works, it just forgets those choices.
What you send us. Only what you type into a form, such as your email and city for the waiting list. How we handle it: the waiting list and your information and our Privacy Policy.
In the app. Orby’s app has no ad trackers either. The Privacy Policy lists every provider and what each one does.
