The waiting list and your information

Who. Recyco Tech LLC runs Orby and joinorby.com and is responsible for the waiting list. Our privacy officer answers at [email protected], or by post: Recyco Tech LLC, 1401 21st St, Sacramento, CA 95811, United States.

What we keep. Your email address, the city you picked from our list, the invite code if a partner’s or member’s link brought you, and the date you joined. Nothing else: no name, no IP address, no location from your device. Until you confirm, we also keep a scrambled copy of your link (never the link itself) and how many times we’ve sent it.

Why. To check the email is yours, to write to you about Orby (mainly to invite you when it opens near you), and to count how many people wait in each city. The map on our home page shows those counts rounded and by city only (“Under 10”, “40+”), never anyone’s email.

We treat it as sensitive. Being on the list can suggest you’re interested in non-monogamy, so only Orby’s team can read it, we never sell it or share it for advertising, and we don’t add it to any other list.

Who helps us. Cloudflare hosts the website and the list, and Resend sends our emails. They handle it only to do that for us. Their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States.

How long. If you don’t confirm, everything is deleted once the link expires, after 48 hours. Once you confirm, you stay on the list until you leave, and at most two years from the day you joined.

Your choices. Leave the list any time, from the link in any of our emails or at joinorby.com/leave: your email is deleted straight away. To see, correct or delete what we keep, or to complain, write to [email protected]; we answer within 10 working days. If you’re not satisfied, you can also go to your privacy regulator (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Colombia, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio).

18+ only. The list is for adults. If you’re under 18, don’t join; if we learn someone under 18 joined, we delete it.

Changes. If this note changes, the new version and its date appear here. We won’t use what we already have for anything new without asking.

Joining the list is not joining Orby: when you sign up in the app, Orby’s Terms and Privacy Policy apply. This site uses no tracking cookies: why.
